John M. McKenney

Director

Born and raised in Atlanta, John and his wife Janine purchased their first home in Spanish
Peaks in 2019 and have been members of Spanish Peaks Mountain Club since then.
They reside in Sandy Springs, and have two adult children. John’s hobbies include snow
skiing, hiking, water sports, mountain biking, golf and travel.

John is Chief Executive Officer for McKenney’s, Inc., a third-generation, mechanical
construction company headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. He received his Bachelor of
Industrial and Systems Engineering degree at Georgia Tech.

John is a Board member of Spanish Peaks Community Foundation, Board member of
Georgia Tech Foundation, Inc., and is affiliated with several industry-specific
organizations as a current or past Board member or Trustee. He also served as a past
Board member of Atlanta Area Council Boy Scouts of America, and is recognized as
Distinguished Engineering Alumni by Georgia Tech’s College of Engineering. John is a
member of the Atlanta Rotary Club, Southern 7 Gold Chapter of YPO, and is a 2014
Graduate of Leadership Atlanta. He is a member of Peachtree Church, and is an Eagle
Scout.
